  Wow! finally! I am the face and brand ambassador for Mansard (GTB Assure, formerly). Who could have guessed I was going to be their final pick of all the people who came in for the same position(I believe its God and only Him.), this indeed is a testimony and I ain't afraid to share it. Got folks all over Nigeria calling my phone and sending me BB pictures of the bill board, guess this is how celebrities feel like when they see their faces up in the sky on bill boards or in a T.v commercial(well in my case, I really just feel cool and grateful about it, just hoping I don't start getting calls to share the money because I have put the bulk of it to good use already before anyone could say Jack Robinson(the house of the Lord is the safest store), need I say more), keep sending in pictures of it and who knows, the best picture may win something from me.

Moving on, the sad news from last week about the death of the Nigerian R n b singer, Goldie made me not blog about my T.G.I.F day, I felt I should set that day aside for her, I sure am glad I did because at the end of the day for the first time in the history of Vien-Smart.blogspot.com, I had 6000 views on one article and 36 comments in one day! wow! Goldie, even in death you still command the attention of many around the world, I just want to say that God will take care of you and we will always remember you. The sad part of it all is the fact that some lady had the nerve to say bad about her, even if you do not respect the living, do try and respect the dead, many who say ill of her are "no body's" and will never be somebody, at the least she made history, created a niche and her musical legacy will live on, this actually should make us alert and aware. While we have time, life and God, lets make the best of it and affect as many lives as we can positively.

LATE GOLDIE SUSAN HARVEY

So, Friday was so cold for me, I couldn't sleep from the previous day till Friday morning because of Goldie's death, I got a 5 am message from Pastor M and I felt much better, wish I could tell you the full story of what our chat was about but sorry I can't, but know this, in the end, I had a big wide smile on my face and a heart so happy and joyful in a matter of 60 minutes after our conversation.

Finally got to rest at night, woke up on Saturday and got messages from Jeremiah(the male model who played the role of my boyfriend in the Mansard T.v commercial) and he was happy to inform me that the billboard was out and my face is all over Oregun road in Ikeja, I felt so happy and said a big amen to God for that, then off to the Victory Dome for the "Single Sisters Hang Out", I had so much fun at the event, my team won the competition( we played a game where you get to describe a word without saying it to the team members and they must get it right in a few seconds), but to me, we all won because the aim of us gathering together as single ladies was for us to loosen up and have fun(which we all did) and not feel terribly lonely because valentine day just passed by. We watched an episode of the T.v series "Just Us Girls", discussed with a lady who had triplets after many years of not having a child, got valentine cakes and refreshments,(sigh)it was just beautiful. Another beautiful sight now is the pictures of Beyonce's daughter, Blu Ivy, omg! now Jay Z does not need a DNA test ever to prove if this baby is his, see the picture below.

Later at night, went for "Love in the club" by City 105.1 Fm and Club Uno, the host was Sensei Uche of City 105.1 and yours truly Vien007 was in the building doing what I know how to do best (hosting,laughing hard, you thought I was gonna say dancing right?), we had so much fun, I even found out I could do the Whiz Kid Azonto dance step too that night.

  Zee came over too, well he looked sad because he said the Maxwell even was so terrible and it was a waste of his #25,000 (Naira)(thank the Lord I didn't waste my cash too), but one event that was not a waste was Darey's "Love like a movie" with the "Kim Kardashian" as his Red Carpet host, live in Lagos-Nigeria,

 I saw her tweets and could not believe she really came to town, (she refused to hear the warning I gave her as regards the mosquitoes, laughing hard), I missed her though because I had to be at church and had a meeting with my good friend from way back(Raw Nwanne), and also had to be at my connect group meeting, well, guess I will have to travel to America to see the lady whose full family reality show(Keeping up with the Kadarshian's) inspired my blogspot, on other news, I heard this event was so planned out well that Darey is gearing up for the 2.0 of it( he better make sure he sings only his tracks this time and not other peoples own), Kim K left Lagos as quickly as possible and I must say to her that was the fastest any celebrity ever left Nigeria, well for her case of being pregnant I can understand why.

 

Monday and I am trying to run out of my wardrobe, considering the fact that the heavy rain thunder and wind drove me in there in the first place, even mum had to hold down the sliding glass with fabrics because we were scared the wind will pull the glass off (the disadvantages of living on the penthouse). I tried to sleep again and woke up at a much later hour (woke up one hour after the show on the radio had began), I did my best but got into the studio exactly 45 minutes to the end of the 4 hours show I am to co host with @oscarinthecity with, like who does that? I just pray this doesn't go down in my weekly report. Done from work and off to my crib, just got to mile 2 when we heard a sound like a bomb explosion. Well, it is no longer in my imagination because a bomb just truly exploded under the Festac link bridge.

FESTAC TOWN, LAGOS- NIGERIA

A local sand dealer was killed Monday by an IED in what those who know him say was an assassination. One witness said that the IED was placed under a chair in his make shift office around Festac /Amuwo Odofin link bridge. The explosion tore him to pieces, the eyewitness said neighbour  rival groups have been battling to dominate the sharp sand business in the area, where the slain Pius Oladele made a fortune.

I just hope they got the facts right because I believe we do not harbor terrorists here and the story still seems pretty sketch. My journalist instincts kicked in but I was just too tired to take pictures given that the crowd there could not help matters be easier. Home now and set for the program at the Victory Dome, I feel much better now, I know tomorrow is going to be better than my yesterday.
