Chris Kelly Dead: Kris Kross Rapper Dies At 34
So, to me, Kriss Kross paved the way for other young acts like, Lill' Bow Wow (who is not so little anymore, because the last time I checked, he got a girl pregnant and he is a baby daddy now), and Tyga (yes, he has more tattoo on his skin more than words in his vocabulary of clean edited words in his rap songs- Nil), Justin Beiber (yeah right, he thinks he too can rap, he tried it out it his "Boyfriend" single and apparently, the girl he was dating at the moment, "Selena Gomez", had to dump him cos he was so whack, laughing hard) among many other. The duo other half will be missed but here is the detail of his time here up till the day he died(just a little bit though)
Chris Kelly, aka Mac Daddy, one half of the ‘90s pop band Kris Kross, has died. He was only 34 years old.
Chris Kelly, one-half of the 1990s rap duo Kris Kross, died Wednesday of an apparent drug overdose, The Associated Press reported. He was 34.

Kelly, who was known as "Mac Daddy," and his partner Chris Smith (a.k.a. "Daddy Mac"), were only 13 years old in 1991 when they were discovered by music producer and rapper Jermaine Dupri while performing at the Greenbriar Mall in Atlanta. Dupri's label, So So Def, signed the boys and sent them into the studio to record their first album.
Kris Kross rocketed to stardom a year later with the release of the single "Jump." The song spent eight weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, became an aerobics anthem and helped their debut album "Totally Krossed Out" go multi-platinum, CNN reported.
Soon Kris Kross was touring with pop star Michael Jackson and appearing as guests on numerous TV programs. They recorded the "Rugrats Rap" for Nickelodeon and were listed at number 90 on VH1's list of "The 100 Greatest Kid Stars."
Kris Kross became a force in fashion as well; the duo was known for wearing their clothes backward during performances and for a time many youths copied the trend. But it was the combination of their energy and mature rapping skills that earned Kris Kross a strong fan base.
Although future albums failed to match the success of "Totally Krossed Out," Kris Kross continued to make music for several years, releasing "Da Bomb" in 1993 and "Young, Rich and Dangerous" in 1996. The pair recently performed together in February for the So-So Def 20th Anniversary All-Star Concert.
Earlier this evening, Kelly was found unresponsive at his Atlanta home, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported. He was transported to Atlanta Medical Center and pronounced dead.
Fans had even dared to hope for a new album, and were quite thrilled to observe that the two Chrises (Kelly and Smith) were still wearing some of their clothes backwards, like they did when they stormed on the scene with “Jump.”
While one half of the duo is gone, the other half will be on air. The Full Phat Breakfast on Flava have got Pieter T on today just after 7.30am with the EXCLUSIVE premiere of his brand new track 'Last First Kiss'!(for those in the US) (Lets not expect him on the show today, I really don't think he will show up.)

and so many more, and at first the cause of death is always unknown, but when investigated well, we hear strange stories of drug overdose and the rest, I believe the true cause is "Depression", unhappiness and so much more of thoughts deep enough to drown a man alive like they all did. I pray for his soul and still the soul of the ladies who literally died, too soon! Sleep well Chris, and thank you for giving young boys the dream to be successful singers and rapper at a very young age.
