I always ask this same question when I have been away for so long. What Did I Miss?
Wow! 5 weeks to myself and it seems the world I knew is no more. Well, I have been away for many good reasons, of of it being that I had to go take care of some unfinished business, also coupled with the fact that it was time to hit that reset button(Like the Corona Virus Pandemic did to the world),and finally, to view life again as it used to be when I was "NOBODY"! Funny how the world continues to exist with or without you, funny how those who mattered are really the ones who could care less if you are still in existence or not, but for me, I learn everyday, I take things personal sometimes and most times, I don't, but after these few weeks, trust me, I honestly do not see life as I used to.
I have been away since July 15th,2020, hence the silence everywhere, especially on my blog, my twitter, my Facebook, my LinkedIn, my snap-chat, in person and above all, my Instagram(The one place I literally used to dwell). It took a loving partner, a family member and God to see reality and fight the battle yet again in another shape and form, through it all, in the words of a former collegue, I am still here and I matter.
I honestly could go on and on about the many new things I discovered and learned in my own absence (Thank God no eulogy was necessary), but a few things which I will list below struck chords in me that I am still shook from, so today I shall share with you as you read, its just 5 things, here they are
1. Don't Take Things Too Serious/ Personal
2. Life Continues Like Aluta (If you know you know)
3. Its Business As Usual (A Job Is A Job)
4. Pay A Little More Detail To The People Around You That Flatter (A Facade For Love That Isn't There), Some, In Real Life & Others On Socials.
5. Nobody Owes You Anything Darling( In James Brown's Voice), So Keep Pushing.
I honestly do have more things to add, but let me just say this, we take life too serious that we forget the most important thing is to LIVE!
Start to live today like I am, breathe darling, breathe, you survived, now breathe. Heck I am so breathing when I get back to life, like, breathing to the point where I have no business handling my socials anymore. I have gotten a team finally, a team that is a "Unit"(something I've never had), sad tho, cos I really love being goofy for the gram, twitter and all, now I only have access to one platform, which is my blog! In the coming week, I will be back on Radio, also in my fashion house creating some brilliant sketches (oh yes, I have found another side to me), and I love it cos its got everything to do with MEN! Ha ha, you'd be amazed what my team is up to.
