Having long hair can make you a target for criminals in the Venezuelan coastal city of Maracaibo.

These criminals are targeting young women who have long hair with scissors, and before you know what's happening, your hair is CHOPPED OFF like tomatoes(laughing hard).

A Maracaibo resident Egmari Villarreal (pictured above left) explains:

"You have to see it to believe it. We're not going to be able to have long hair anymore. As a woman, this is something traumatic. It's happening downtown, at the beach or at the mall, where you find a lot of young women. The thieves grab them by the hair, pull out some scissors and cut their hair. Then they sell it at beauty or hair salons."

Six men set ablaze in Ogun state for smoking Indian hemp

According to Vanguard News, six young men accused of smoking Indian hemp and gambling were been set ablaze in Abeokuta, Ogun State, by a house owner in their area. The landlord, identified as Agba, in Ago-Oko area of the town where the incident occurred, had warned the boys on several occasions to desist from their acts, warnings they ignored.

And one day, just this past Tuesday night August 6th, Agba felt he was god and decided to punish the guys. What a way to instill discipline.

Boy, 13 yrs, shoots dead his family, spends his day in school, then kills himself

A 13-year-old boy killed his police officer parents as well as his grandmother and great-aunt before spending a full day at school and then taking his own life.

Police believe Marcelo Pesseghini shot each victim in the head with a .40 caliber pistol early Monday morning at the home in Sao Paulo, Brazil, before catching a lift into school with a friend.

The father, Luiz Pesseghini, 40, a police sergeant with 19 years service was found in bed. The mother, Andreia Pesseghini, 30, who had served in the military police for 16 years was found on her knees in the bedroom. (Marcelo and his parents pictured above).

Hoodlums cut off Youth corper's hand in vicious attack

Folakemi Akinbode, an NYSC nurse attached to the Niger Delta University Teaching Hospital, Okolobiri, Bayelsa state, was viciously attacked by a group of still unidentified hoodlums on Monday August 5th around 9pm on her way to the corpers' lodge.

Folakemi was returning from her shift in the hospital when the hoodlums attacked her with a machete. Her right hand was nearly severed. Fortunately she survived the attack. That is her above after surgery.

According to residents of the area where the attack took place, the violence is mainly perpetrated by locals and it has been going on for a while. A few weeks ago, they broke into the hospital's lab and attacked the technicians and also broke into the doctors quarters to do same and carted away their valuables. The state government and hospital executives should please do something about the safely of corpers and everyone else in this area.
